Check the schedule for studio art speakers
Take a look at the schedule for speakers this spring. Steve Kurtz is a wiz bang theory person who taught at FSU a number of years ago and has a serious radical streak in his notions about the uses of art. Mark Klett was in Tallahassee years ago to create a portfolio of photographs for the Lemoyn Art Foundation and has since become one of the most highly regarded large format photographers in America. Remember to take in Dr. Geoffery Batchen’s lecture on the evolving view of the role of the “snap shot,” on Thursday, Jan 24th. Take advantage of these opportunities to see and hear these lectures. Next year’s budget seems to indicate these will be last outside lectures for sometime to come.
