This is the kind of stuff (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/17/arts/design/17phot.html) that made photohistory fun. I remember driving around England with a wicked head cold and I came to this old estate that was some kind of museum and I pulled in and got out of the car and immediately had that “deja vu” experience. Then I read the sign and it was Fox Talbot’s home - Lacock Abbey. Of course I had been there before..I knew right where that doorway was with the broom leaning against it…..
