Little Robot found that the newer version of Word Press he had  installed for RWF doesn’t like Mac OS X 3.9. In fact it will not play nice with it. So now I have to find a system upgrade…. a long shaggy story that ….

This is the kind of stuff (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/17/arts/design/17phot.html) that made photohistory fun. I remember driving around England with a wicked head cold and I came to this old estate that was some kind of museum and I pulled in and got out of the car and immediately had that “deja vu” experience. Then I read the sign and it was Fox Talbot’s home - Lacock Abbey. Of course I had been there before..I knew right where that doorway was with the broom leaning against it…..

I suppose part of this is our fault. I did always tell my students to offer to send anyone that they photographed a copy of the resulting picture. Roger Mertin used to carry carry a polaroid camera with him when he went into a bar to shoot with his 4×5 as a way of making up for his exploitation of the inhabitants.
